If you want to actually have more control over the newer lights compared to the old ones for example changing how long you want daylight to run compared to ramp up etc. Thanks to its ultra thin aluminum design it mounts easily and looks sleek. Good light for long tanks not many 72 lights out there its low profile and has continued to work well. Their cheaper version lets you control both independantly and i assumed that this would let you also but there is no way.

The current usa orbit marine aquarium led light comes pre programmed with a 24 hour lighting program. Tldr these seem pretty decent but are a hair weaker than t5s.
